South Tyrol-born architect and designer Hannes Peer studied at the Politecnico di Milano and the Technical University of Berlin, and worked at Rem Koolhaas’s OMA in Rotterdam. He founded his Milan studio, Hannes Peer Architecture, in 2009, building a portfolio of high-end retail, hospitality and residential spaces, including work for fashion brands such as N°21.
Peer describes his approach as “eclectic, functional, bold”, with each project shaped by research and tailored to its context. At the Aurora hotel in Merano, he drew together Alpine heritage, family history, Brazilian and Californian modernism and cinema.
His furniture for Minotti brings the same layered storytelling to the home, with designs including the Andrée coffee and side tables, Elyne seating family, Lilliam armchair and dining chair, and Blaine dining table.
