There’s intent behind every piece SKUPA> crafts; a visceral, unrivalled passion for design and the natural beauty of timber that hasn’t dimmed in over five years.
In partnership with SKUPA>
Long before SKUPA>, there was élan, the bespoke joinery practice the late Boris Tošić founded in the 1990s, where his instinct for natural materials and honest construction first took shape. Decades spent refining that instinct eventually led to one question: can furniture with a point of view be created? From that, SKUPA> was born. Now, with his sons Luke and Ziggy at the helm, the brand steps into a new light, guided by everything their father stood for.
Named after the Croatian word for ‘together’, the brand channels that ethos into every piece, and with it, their father’s intent: to design with passion, generosity and a deep reverence for the natural world. In this Nine to Know, we look at nine handmade SKUPA> pieces, exploring how élan’s decades of joinery expertise live on in furniture.

Mirrored from top to bottom, the SKUPA> Spula stool takes its name from the Croatian word for ‘spool’, working just as well as a seat, side table or surface.
05. Slatted Bench
Elongated timber battens rest on layered triangular legs for the SKUPA> slatted bench, projecting light through its sculptural slats.

09. Blade Table Set
Sitting neatly within one another, the SKUPA> Blade table set reworks the classic nest of tables, with its curved blade legs tapering into the table and tray tops. Compact and easy to move, the set brings both flexibility and presence to any space.
