NAU returns to Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign, presenting The Moment is NAU an exhibition of sculptural Australian furniture and lighting by Adam Goodrum and Tom Fereday, alongside panel discussions and an industry gathering.
In Partnership with NAU
For Richard Munao, founder of Cult and the Australian brand NAU, arriving at 3daysofdesign feels less like a trade fair and more like stepping onto a Premier League pitch. “We’re playing in a market where there are lots of people that have been shining for many, many years,” he admits. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to NAU.” In its second year at the Copenhagen festival, NAU returns with renewed confidence and a clear sense of purpose, bringing an intentional collection of furniture and lighting defined by sculptural form, honest materials and a distinctly Australian design perspective to the heart of the Danish capital.
The headline launch is the Soft Spot Sofa by Adam Goodrum, a piece Munao believes crosses every boundary a contemporary interior demands, from a private home to a hotel lobby to a commercial reception. “When I looked at it, I thought: as a single chair, it can be beautiful,” he says. “Some products are very comfortable but not visually beautiful in space. Soft Spot does both.” Joining it is the Nami Shelving by Tom Fereday, the Slab dining table, and the new Breeze outdoor table collection; NAU’s first foray into exterior furniture, born from seven years of material testing and a conviction that Australia is the world’s best proving ground for outdoor product.
Oversized volumes, upholstered and pulled inward, the Soft Spot Armchair by Adam Goodrum is seating as sculpture.
Tom Fereday’s Nami Shelf brings layered timber form to a piece that is as much composition within a space as it is storage.
What sets NAU apart in Copenhagen is not just the quality of the work, but the clarity of its ambition. Munao is candid about what he’s really trying to do: “I am on a mission to make sure that Australian design is not just architecture and interiors, where we’re very well respected overseas. We’re not that well known for our great product designers, and there is a moment right now.”
That moment extends beyond the exhibition floor. A panel discussion on design legacy and contemporary practice will feature Goodrum alongside Anders Byriel of Kvadrat, and a printed fold-out publication will accompany the show. Come evening, Cult hosts NAU, Later—an Australian design gathering for international media, partners and the design-curious, with Australian wine, food and the kind of easy generosity the country does best.
Visit The Moment is NAU at The Social House, Store Regnegade 12, Copenhagen. Open 10am–6pm daily, 10–12 June 2026.
The sculptural Soft Spot Sofa is NAU’s headline launch at 3daysofdesign 2026, a piece as visually arresting as it is inviting to sit on.
Tom Fereday’s Nami Shelf anchors this space in warm timber while Adam Goodrum’s XO Light hovers above its travertine base—geometric and luminous.
