Nine to Know | Statement Rugs

Be inspired by our collection of graphic rugs for maximising colour, texture and pattern in the living room.

A statement rug anchors a space with detail and textural contrast. Like an art piece, it can also become the focal point in a living room, informing the overall colour palette. We’ve curated nine rugs that make a statement through pungent colour, abstract patterning, playful shapes and subtle texture.

The Baxter Himani C rug melds blush tones with duck egg green and black as an abstract shape of layered colours and textures – a true piece of art underfoot.

The CC-Tapis Patcha Standard rug in mint by Patricia Urquiola is made from Himalayan wool and silk pile. Overlapping pastel colours with a red outline feature as strips alongside a subtle pattern that resembles a terrazzo finish.

The Rilievo 02 rug is from Tigmi Trading’s first rug collection, designed in-house. The striking geometric pattern explores positive and negative space, made from 100% New Zealand wool and natural linen.

The Nanimarquina Losanges I rug, designed by the Bouroullec Brothers, features a combination of 13 colours in a geometrical rhombus pattern, made from hand-spun Afghan wool.

The Tribe Home Handknotted rug SWN111 features Moroccan-inspired tones and a ‘shaggy’ texture to accentuate the abstract patterning, made from silk, wool and cotton.
