Founder and creative director Rachael Fry studied at Parsons School of Design, New York, and her curatorial approach is anchored in a deep understanding of the me?tier. Installed in an historic late-19th century building and former hotel in the heart of the South Yarra shopping district, the elaborate Victorian Italianate exterior of CRITERIA gives way to a purposefully restrained interior, the better to showcase exclusive pieces imported from design capitals including Paris, New York, and Milan but also Antwerp, Gotland and Lisbon.
