Fiona Brockhoff Design is a boutique practice designing gardens for coastal, country and urban spaces, predominantly in Victoria. Central to the design is working with nature to connect the garden with the site and surrounds. Site matching plants and materials and working with the architecture and site characteristics is achieved through careful observation of the landscape. This creates the foundation upon which the garden design, reflecting the owners needs and personal style, is developed. Each garden is a unique response to the site and client, but they share the underlying philosophy of having a strong connection to place and minimal ongoing consumption of resources.
Fiona’s approach to garden design and 13 of her gardens, photographed by Earl Carter, can be further explored in her recent book ‘With Nature’, published by Hardie Grant.
