ANNA.CARIN is a Sydney-based high-end residential interior design studio led by Anna-Carin McNamara, Swedish-born and RCA London trained. From the first conversation to the last detail, the work is guided by a clear design philosophy, the five elements of design: Relationships, Resonance, Rhythm, Rituals and Rites.
The process is as considered as the philosophy. ANNA.CARIN’s signature method, three words and a song, draws out the emotional identity of a home before design begins. From there, space, material, light and detail are resolved through deep listening: to the people, the space, and what the materials already know.
The result is always different. No signature look. Each home personal, specific and its own.

Growing up on a small farm in the south of Sweden left a mark for Anna-Carin that has never quite faded. Now Sydney-based, her interiors carry the same Scandinavian sensibility—simplicity, functionality, and a natural palette that could only have come from Swedish springs and autumn light.
