Premium appliance brand Gaggenau has launched its latest Essential Induction cooktop in collaboration with Cosentino’s Dekton, renowned for their innovative and sustainable architectural surfaces.
Unveiled at Milan Design Week 2024, the Essential Induction cooktop is designed to seamlessly blend into the open-plan kitchen with its sleek, frameless surface. Cementing the kitchen as a central gathering space within the home, the cooktop aims to “redefine not only how people cook, but also how they interact and socialise,” says Gaggenau’s managing director Dr. Peter Goetz.
Continuing the brands’ commitment to innovation, the Essential Induction cooktops are crafted exclusively from Dekton’s scratch-resistant, ultra-compact, and carbon-neutral stone, available in a range of colours and finishes to compliment any space. Using Gaggenau’s advanced induction technology, an integral feature is the cooktop’s high-precision control knob and subtle yet responsive LED ‘dot’ light, which intuitively shifts in colour and intensity to offer precise control and feedback on the surfaces’ heat levels.
Intended to double as a durable and multifunctional work surface, the latest Induction cooktop delivers premium craftsmanship and versatility through a design-forward architectural lens, embodying the concept of ‘gravity’ in modern kitchens. As Gaggenau’s head of design Sven Baacke explains, “this cooktop is designed to offer flexibility and freedom in kitchen design, blurring the boundaries between culinary and everyday spaces.”
"The Essential Induction cooktops redefine not only the way people cook, but also how they choose to interact and socialise."
