Australian designer Adam Goodrum
Australian furniture brand NAU has unveiled their latest Billo sofa system designed in collaboration with Adam Goodrum, first introduced at Melbourne Design Week 2024. This innovative collection reimagines contemporary comfort with its organic modularity, designed to elevate any living space.
Renowned Australian designer Adam Goodrum designed the Billo sofa system to embody a relaxed yet sophisticated feel, drawing inspiration from the classic forms found in vintage Italian sofas. Named after its organic, billowing shape, the Billo sofa system reflects an attention to detail through its meticulous tailoring and ‘cloud-like comfort.’
Particular attention was paid to achieving a considered balance between organic form and structure. The piece’s signature feature—a gentle, integrated bolster—introduces a soft element to any space, while its modularity allows for various configurations, cohesively designed to stand on its own while blending into its surroundings. Combined with a focus on sustainability through responsibly sourced materials, the Billo is design-forward, versatile, and durable.
“Designs have to be made responsibly,” Goodrum emphasises. “The Billo sofa system is our most complex sofa to date, demonstrating our commitment to quality and innovation.” With a strong focus on premium materials, quality craftsmanship, and curved form, the Billo sofa system thoughtfully reimagines the traditional sofa through a contemporary lens.
