First Light: Inside Seafarm by Madeleine Blanchfield Architects

In a cycle where trust fed ambition, and vice versa, this expansive New South Wales property illustrates what is possible when client, architect, builder and landscape designer are totally in sync.

Seafarm—the name retained from the original property—is a poetic combination of its elevated rural site and its long views to Copacabana Beach. It is, however, the only thing that remains intact. What began as a brief for alterations and additions slowly and deliberately morphed into something far more significant.

Seafarm by Madeleine Blanchfield originally appeared inside est magazine issue 62: ‘First Light’.
