We spotlight project highlights from the 2024 Dulux Colour Awards finalists.

As one of Australia and New Zealand’s prestigious awards programs, the Dulux Colour Awards showcases the design industry’s exceptional and innovative use of colour. Drawing a diverse range of applications across categories such as residential, hospitality, and retail spaces, this year’s judging panel has revealed the 83 finalist designs from a record 527 entries.

The 2024 judging panel comprises five esteemed architects and designers from Australia and New Zealand, including Studio Prineas founder Eva-Marie Prineas, Carter Williamson Architects founder Shaun Carter and WOWOWA Architecture co-founder Monique Woodward. “Overall, the judges were impressed by the deeply considered, intelligent design pervading this year’s suite of finalists,” Dulux Colour and communications manager Andrea Lucena-Orr says.

This year’s Residential Interior and Single Residential Exterior categories saw 34 Australian homes chosen, and among them were standout designs, including FY Residence by STUDIO-LIU, Malvern House by Melanie-Beynon Architecture & Design, and Hearth House by Arent&Pyke. We spotlight our design highlights from the selected finalists below.

The winner will be announced at the Dulux Colour Awards in May 2024.
