The Halcyon Lake collection of traditionally hand-knotted Afghan high-pile Barchi rugs is made in Kabul. These rugs are inspired by old Afghan sleeping rugs, particularly intended to protect their owners from the icy cold nights. This collection features traditional Gabbeh patterns as well as beautiful plain surfaces displayed with lively abrash effects. The wool used for these rugs comes from Afghanistan’s heartland and has an especially high oil content which is a natural stain protectant. Each rug from this collection is unique.
