Born in Colombia and based in Milan, Lina Obregón specialises in product and strategic design. She studied industrial design and holds a master’s in bionics and design from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), and has worked in several Milanese design studios, bringing a personal, experimental approach to her projects. She founded a bionics research group, has lectured internationally and taught at IED and Domus Academy, and is involved with Materiavera, which focuses on sustainable materials. For Paola Lenti she designed the Telar collection, which won a Red Dot award, and the Baleari seating family.
