Anna Charlesworth

Anna Charlesworth has worked in the glass and metal arts since 1989. Charlesworth had the benefit of an informal apprenticeship with Melbourne-based glass and metal artist Mark Douglass, of the ‘Whitehall’ collective of artists based  in Footscray. Charlesworth learnt from on-site metalwork as well as glass etching and slumping techniques.

Since 1995 Charlesworth has worked on her own commissions in a Williamstown factory space with other metalworkers.  Charlesworth has produced wrought iron doors, fences, screens, furniture, balustrading and light fittings. Most of her pieces are custom made to suit individual clients’ specifications.

More recently Charlesworth has been concentrating on lighting commissions for both residential and commercial spaces.
