Pretziada Nannai Chair

PRODUCT DETAILS

Designed by Chiara Andreatti, the Pretziada Nannai Chair is inspired by the wooden chairs and river reeds typical of Sardinian rural houses, usually placed in a corner and traditionally used when visitors arrive, when it’s time to sit in a circle to shell the beans or break the almonds. Her scannu are enlarged versions: keeping the classic proportions and making them larger, Andreatti has made them important and comfortable. The decorations are directly inspired by her experiences on the island, from visits to local weavers, to a handmade pasta (lorighittas), to the shapes of ancient talismans. Nannai was created in collaboration with the craftsman Pierpaolo Mandis, carpenter and chair maker from the hilltop town of Mogoro. Right of withdrawal not applicable.
