Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen, born in 1962 in Lokeren, Belgium, is an architect with a comprehensive approach shaped by his education at the Sint-Lucas School of Architecture. After collaborations in Milan and Antwerp, he developed a distinctive architectural language emphasizing context, tradition, and the user’s experience. Functionality, durability, and comfort are central to his designs, which resist fleeting trends. Van Duysen has received numerous awards, including the Flemish Culture Prize for Design and the Henry van de Velde Lifetime Achievement Award.

Notable for his contributions to interior design, he became the creative director of Molteni&C and Dada in 2016 and collaborated with Zara Home in 2022. His work has consistently appeared in prestigious international publications, and a Rizzoli volume, featuring his homes, is scheduled for Spring 2024, photographed by François Halard and designed by Beda Achermann. Van Duysen’s influence extends to reshaping global images for renowned brands and receiving accolades such as the Belgian Designer of the Year and an EDIDA for Best Interior Designer. His enduring impact is evident in ongoing collaborations and nominations for esteemed awards like the Mies Van Der Rohe Award.
