Built in 1890’s, this two storey former horse stable in Rankins Lane, Melbourne has been redesigned and reconfigured into a 4 room, contemporary shopping space housing one of our favourite Australian fashion labels, Bassike.

With menswear and a woman’s co-op space located on the ground floor showcasing the brands iconic Japanese denim and organic cotton jersey collection, the top floor has been dedicated to the womens premium ready to wear collection. Furnished throughout using a combination of mid century Danish furniture sourced specifically for the Rankins lane store along with custom built streamlined designed joinery that has become the signature of Bassike’s contemporary store design.

Known for their timeless style and extensive use of sustainable fabrics, Melbourne’s home grown designer Mary Lou Ryan and business partner Deborah Sams have built a loyal following of fans both in Australia and abroad since first starting the label in 2006. We also love that they currently stock our favourite bag for 2014 by State of Escape
